Common Name(s): Festive Amazon, Red Backed Amazon, or Ecuador Amazon.

Natural Range: Eastern Ecuador, northeastern Peru, and most of Brazilian State of Amazonas.

Description: Length 13.5 inches. Body green; nape feathers are faintly edged blackish; flight feathers edged yellowish-green, narrow band to forehead and lores dark red; area above eye and chin blue; cheeks yellowish-green; lower back red; edge of wing yellowish-green; primary-coverts and primaries violet-blue; tail green with greenish-yellow tips; beak grey; iris orange-red; feet grey.

Common Name(s): Bodin's Amazon

Natural Range: Northwestern Huyana and the Benezuelan states of southern Amacuro and Bolivar.
Description: Like nominate but more olive green. Cheek region turquoise blue. Ear coverts greenish blue.
