Amazona  barbadensis barbadensis (Gmelin 1788)

Common Name(s): Yellow-shouldered Amazon

Natural Range: North Venezuela Coastal region to onto Margarita LA, Blanquilla and the Dutch Island of Bonaire.
Description: Length 13 inches. Body green with dark edging. Forehead, eye region and cheeks yellow. Yellow on the bend of wings. Iris orange. Bill light horn colored. Feet light gray.

Common Name(s): Rothschild's Amazon

Natural Range:  Bonaire, Margarita and Blanquilla.
Description: Like nominate but wing bend has more of an orange color. Also less extensive yellow coloration in the head area.
